La Universidad Carlos III de Madrid forma parte del proyecto COMPASS. COMPASS es el acrónimo de Composing Lifelong Learning Opportunity Pathways through Standards-based Services. COMPASS consiste en la integración y extensión de los logros europeos de estandarización en el campo de las oportunidades de aprendizaje y los resultados de aprendizaje / información de competencias para la creación de modelos, infraestructura de tecnología abierta y servicios significativos dentro de un contexto de educación superior que apuntan:

  1. La mejora de la calidad y de la relevancia de las oportunidades de aprendizaje ofertadas para las necesidades laborales de mercado actuales y emergentes,
  2. La mejora de la movilidad, haciendo a las oportunidades de aprendizaje más visibles y comprensibles para los estudiantes que quieran adquirir habilidades adicionales,
  3. El refuerzo de la cooperación transfronteriza de las Instituciones de Educación Superior, IES, en la definición de itinerarios flexibles de aprendizaje de calidad para sus alumnos,
  4. El aumento de la responsabilidad social por parte de las IES a través de la transparencia en las descripciones de sus ofertas educativas,
  5. La implementación de infraestructuras sostenibles para todas las IES europeas y para que la UE aproveche la mejora de los servicios existentes o la creación de nuevos servicios.

University Carlos III of Madrid is partner of the COMPASS project. COMPASS is an acronym for Composing Lifelong Learning Opportunity Pathways through Standards-based Services. COMPASS consists in the integration and extension of European standardization achievements in the field of learning opportunity and learning outcomes/competence information for the creation of models, open technology infrastructure and meaningful services within a higher education context that target

  1. The improvement of quality and relevance of offered learning opportunities to current and emerging labour market needs,
  2. The enhancement of mobility, making learning opportunities more visible and understandable for students that want to gain additional skills,
  3. The strengthening of cross-border cooperation of HEIs in the definition of quality flexible learning pathways for their learners,
  4. The increase of social responsibility of HEIs through the transparent descriptions of their offerings,
  5. The implementation of sustainable infrastructure for all European HEIs and for the EU to leverage in the enhancement of existing or the creation of new related services.
